We are pleased to announce that with the blessings of Allah SWT, Bab-ul-Ilm now has its own Resident Aalim. We welcome Hujjat-us-Islam Maulana Syed Ahmad Raza Al-Husaini!
Here is a brief profile of our Resident Aalim:
Maulana Syed Ahmad Raza Al-Husaini was born in Azamgarh, UP, India. He received his Arabic education and Fazil Mashriqiyaat (oriental studies), from the renowned institution of India, Hoza-e-Ilmiya Wasiqa Arabic College of Faizabad. Maulana Husaini also has an MA in Arabic Literature from Banaras Hindu University and has conducted post graduate research on the evolution of Marsia and Marsia poets during the first century Hijra.
In 1983, Maulana Husaini went to the Hoza-e-Ilmiya, Qum, where he spent seven years studying the higher Shia Theology under the guidance of learned scholars such as Ayatullah Nasir Makarim Sherazi and Ayatullah Fazil Lankarani.
Since 1990, Maulana Husaini has served the community in various parts of the world and has travelled to Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. Prior to joining Bab-ul-Ilm, Maulana spent nine years in Holland where he established Mehfil-e-Ali in Amsterdam.
